Heyl has an
established fleet of owner operators who have been with the
company for several years. We truly believe the company and owner
operators are partners in business. Profit for both parties is
our goal. We prefer to work with contractors who drive their own
equipment, and our program is geared to favor the true “owner
operator.”
We look to
hire experienced, professional OTR operators who are willing to
work and have dependable equipment. A history of reliable service
means more to us than the specific age of your unit. Consistent
service to the customer is what creates a profitable bottom line.
Here is what we have to offer you:

Average dispatch miles of between 10,000 and 12,000 per
month, with only 4 to 7
percent of those being deadhead

Weekly settlements
·
Reimbursement of unloading charges
·
$.92 per loaded mile
·
$.60 per empty mile between dispatch points (paid on tariff
mileage billed to our
customer)
·
Floating fuel surcharge averaged weekly
·
Pay for all additional pick-ups and drops when required

Paid cargo and liability insurances

Extremely competitive insurance rates for collision, comp, theft,
and bobtail coverage

You must
provide:
·
$800 (U.S. funds) at signing of lease
·
Current proof of 2290 (U.S. highway tax use)
·
$1000 escrow account ($0 required at signing, several options
available)
·
