Job Title: Warranty Recovery Specialist

Summary

The Warranty Recovery Specialist will be part of the Fleet Management Team. The person in this position will be responsible for managing the warranty recovery process to ensure highest recovery rate of all warrantable repairs. This position will collaborate with the Maintenance and Repair Specialists to identify warranty claim opportunities and collect relevant information and documentation. Responsibilities also include managing recall campaigns to ensure equipment is properly maintained with proper documentation for warranty claims, managing core returns/refunds. Additional responsibilities include cross-referencing invoices to purchase orders and reviewing purchase orders for accuracy

Essential Functions

This is a detail-oriented position that requires proficiency in keyboarding, data entry, time management, and organizational skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and successfully develop business relationships.

Duties

·  Warranty Recovery Process - lead end-to end process.

·  Organize and inventory warranty parts.

·  Development of warrantable repair matrix.

·  Set-up standard operating procedures and policy.

·  Capture warranty recovery status and documentation via Fleet Management System.

·  Coordinate with Maintenance and Repair Specialist to identify warrantable repairs.

·  Determine the value of a mechanical claim and negotiate its settlement.

·  Pro-actively train the field to ensure understanding of warranty pre-requisite such as compliance to preventative maintenance and recalls.

·  Negotiate with equipment manufacturer on warranty claim disputes.

·  Coordinate with accounting for payment process and settlement.

·  Identify opportunities to improve warranty program coverage, process, and policy.

·  Receive and process driver documentation for electronic filing as appropriate.

·  Report invoice or billing discrepancies to the Accounts Payable team.

·  Assist with general clerical duties and cross-training assignments as needed within the maintenance department.

Qualifications

·  2 or more years in managing warranty claims process required

·  2 or more years of experience in warranty dispute and negotiation required

·  2 or more years of experience in OEM or insurance claim department required

·  Experience with diesel mechanical experience is a plus

·  Experience with fleet management system is a plus

·  Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.

·  Ability to build collaborative relationships

·  Excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills

·  Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills and an ability to identify problems, design and articulate solutions, and implement change

·  Excellent customer service skills; experience in service-oriented industry such as outsourced service providers or construction companies is preferred.

·  Strong organizational and prioritizing skills required

·  Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

Experience

1-3 years experience in commercial truck parts, diesel mechanics, or a related field preferred

Schedule

Monday-Friday

Full-time; work week of 40 hours
